After
the industrial revolution, the invention of the engine, the existence of
electricity, and the appearance of mill-factories around the world caused the
flu-like earth of carbon dioxide which was a by-product of the advancement of
the world's industry. Not to mention supported by forest fires, motor vehicle
fumes, people make satay (hahahha, food again) and so forth. If it's like
people who inhale too much CO2 would cough, watery eyes, nasal tightness and
clogged, keep on flu for long. Well, our earth is sick, too long coupled with
CO2, SO2 got the flu already, continue to lungs wet and spots, may not get lung
cancer.
I have
good news nih friends, because the CO2 suction factory and SO2 will operate in
Canada has officially opened also. Carbon capture and storage (CCS) processes
at a coal-fired power plant are officially opened at the Dam Power, Estevan,
Saskatchewan, Canada Boundary Station on October 2 with approximately US $
1,400,000,000 (or € 1,100,000,000). The facility is expected to capture up to 1
million tonnes of carbon dioxide per year. The captured carbon dioxide will be
transported through pipelines to adjacent oil fields and will be used for
enhanced oil recovery. Saskatchewan has access to a limestone basin several
kilometers beneath a layer of solid rock and clear of large volcanic earthquake
activity. So any remaining carbon dioxide will be stored underground
permanently in and will continue to be monitored. In addition to carbon
dioxide, sulfur dioxide will be netted and captured from the air, converted to
sulfuric acid, and sold to industry. Fly ash, a by-product of coal combustion,
will be sold for use in ready-mix concrete, pre-cast structures, and concrete
products.
About
twenty CCS projects are in advanced stagende planning or in development around
the world. Neste Oil Corporation, Finland, for example, has partnered with
Taiyo Nippon Sanso, Japan, to build a carbon dioxide recovery and liquefaction
plant that will process 36.300 tons of rich carbon dioxide gas from Neste's
renewable diesel refinery in Singapore and will (should) operate fully on End
of 2015. Drax, which operates the largest coal-fired power station in the UK,
has received up to € 300 million ($ 382 million) under the European NER300
program to build a power plant that captures 90% of carbon dioxide emissions
and transports it with a pipe for permanent Deep storage under the North Sea.
NER300 is one of the world's largest funding programs for an innovative low
carbon energy pilot project
Whether with the tool can guarantee clean air?
BalasHapusCould be because So the remaining carbon dioxide will be stored underground permanently and will continue to be monitored. In addition to carbon dioxide, sulfur dioxide will be netted and captured from the air, converted to sulfuric acid, and sold to industry. Fly ash, a by-product of coal combustion, will be sold for use in ready-mix concrete, pre-transmission structures, and concrete products.
HapusWhat do you think we can do to reduce the amount of carbon dioxide on earth?
BalasHapus# 1. Lower Temperature
HapusFor air-conditioning users or those with refrigerators or bath-warmers, lowering temperatures by only two degrees in the winter and up to two degrees in summer can save about 2,000 pounds of carbon dioxide per year.
# 2. Power Off
Artificial electricity is used about 44 percent of electricity usage in office buildings. Get used to turn off the lights when leaving any room for 15 minutes or more. Equally valid for electronics, turn off the power and unplug the power supply when not using it.
# 3. Use Cold Water
Using cold water can save up to 80 percent of the energy needed to wash clothes. Choosing low power on the washing machine will also help conserve water.
# 4. Switch to E-Billing (Electronic Payments).
In the United States, paper products produce the largest percentage of urban solid waste, and hard copy bills alone generate nearly 2 million tons of carbon dioxide. Save paper by signing up for e-billing.
We can also use e-banking transfers on mobile banking, saving time to go to ATMs and reduce paper usage when picking up and transferring money.
# 5. Buy Local Fruits and Vegetables
Can we imagine, how many liters of gasoline supplied by food suppliers like fruits from Bandung to Jakarta, and how much carbon is being dumped into the air? To save it all and prevent pollution, get used to buying local products.
# 6. Recycle
We can recycle plastic bottles, paper, electronics and batteries, and other items. Learn how to properly dispose or recycle the product in reducing consumer waste.
Can we use CO2 to be an energy? And how?
BalasHapusOne way of utilizing carbon dioxide gas as a power plant with the help of algae is to insert electrodes into the algae cell membrane which will result in the algae producing electrical energy in the process of photosynthesis. This energy can be utilized one of them is to make the chandelier.
HapusAccording to your thoughts, can you explain the adverse effects and good effects of CO2 right now?
BalasHapusCarbon dioxide, an important gas, but its unbalanced presence will create a natural phenomenon capable of destroying the earth. Starting from the sinking of several islands in the world until the destruction of several species of species on earth. Therefore, the appropriate concentration of carbon dioxide should be maintained. And the composition of carbon dioxide in clean air should be 314 ppm.
HapusExcess carbon dioxide effect:
1. Holes the Ozone Layer
2. The greenhouse effect, the light & the heat of the sun that enter the earth can not be separated into space cosmically.
3. Increase the global temperature globally a few degrees
4. Melt the polar ice to increase sea level
